Certification

Big discussion in the industry... Some say it's not needed while others would argue you absolutely need to. Well once thing I've learned in the years I've been in the field, is that at some point your employers or prospective ones will request that you have them.

They might not know the importance of the certifications or whether this is going to relate to your work; but the reality is that most of the HR guys are not tech-savy enough and this is the best, or they think, the only way to make sure they have the right candidate.

They could run aptitude kind of tests, or white board testing if needed, but they do require someone internally that can evaluate your competency level. That, is most of the time where the issue is.

Anyway, this post is just some repository for me to save links to interesting articles, projects and or materials that would help in achieving some kind of certification.

I will try to keep it updated and categorised (based on my views), in case it's of any help to anyone.
